So, it's been a couple of weeks since the blog's birthday and I've been working hard at implementing some life habit changes that I think will ultimately make my life so much happier.
For the record, I am someone who lives in the moment.... a lot. It's definitely my comfort zone, that is, until it gets very uncomfortable because I haven't planned ahead.
Another piece of information that will be useful for context is that this last fall was just crazy intense for lots of reasons. But the year literally ended with a bang on Christmas Day when I crashed my car into the back of another car.
I'm not sure that there's a bigger wake up call...
I was SO fortunate no one was seriously hurt; everyone was super nice and compassionate including the lady that I hit; and everyone has been very very supportive over the whole thing.
And in turn I have totally re-committed to self care which has involved several steps.
1) Making sure my body and my mind are totally taken care of.
2) Making sure that I'm focused on my tasks at hand and not distracted.
3) Working really hard on making my home environment pleasant (not cluttery and messy) and planning ahead on mundane things like dinner so I can just breeze through them at the end of a busy day.
4) Being committed to being mindful and respectful of our family's money and finances. I have typically just kind of passively managed it and it's really never worked very well for us.
I think just putting my intention out there to be successful at these things that have typically not been my shining achievements has already resulted in some lovely benefits.
And I think it will really allow me to be successful and trying new things like maybe an Etsy shop, going new directions with my artwork, and feeling safe and happy overall.
I hope the new year is opening up new paths for you too - I'll share more as I go along here, so stay tuned for new projects and progress!

Living with intention - such a seemingly simple concept, but not always easy to DO. You are so on the right track - it's going to be the best year EVER! love you . . . xoxo
