So I dropped by a local nursery earlier this week and approached them about selling my pendants.
If you haven't been to Little Red Farm Nursery in Springfield, Oregon you should definitely drop by. They are the most wonderful people and they have beautiful items for your garden!
In any case they said they were definitely interested and to bring back a display that they could easily hang near their cash register.
Oh joy! A really fun project - which took a little bit of exploring before it became a reality - and some excitement about having my work in a retail setting to boot.
I took some extended time at the craft store researching options - which my children were so patient to wait through.
But eventually I landed on a plain wood frame that I painted with sepia colored acrylic ink.
A doubled up layer of cork wrapped in burlap from some coffee bags I had kicking around.
A little extra orange burlap that I purchased previously - because it was such a fabulous orange, of course.
And some brilliant thumb tacks with hooks on the end...
and Ta Da!
The orange stripe is home to some pins that I whipped up upon their suggestion.
And now we'll see how they do!
I'm delighted, to say the least - and Little Red Farm will be having an Open House the weekend of April 30th to showcase all their wonderful spring offerings. Drop on by and check them out at 42nd and Jasper Road if you live here in town and love to garden ~ yippee!
